Early Life
Born Dominic Vega in Pleasant Hill, California, Dom Vegz was raised between Pittsburg, California and Nampa, Idaho — growing up surrounded by music and technology, and drawn early to sound design and digital production.
He started producing in 2018, at just 12 years old, teaching himself to compose and mix EDM through online tutorials and relentless experimentation rather than any formal training — building his skills independently before stepping into DJing and live performance.
Early Production Years
Working from a home studio in FL Studio — one of the most widely used DAWs in electronic music — his early productions leaned into high-energy styles: progressive house, dance and festival EDM, melodic electronic, and house-influenced tracks.
Those first releases established his foundation as a producer and introduced his music to listeners across the major streaming platforms.
Live Performances
As his production sharpened, Dom moved into live DJ sets, performing at regional events and festivals including Treefort Music Fest and the Boise Music Festival.
Nominated as one of five for best talent in his graduating class, he played a short set at his old high school — it went over so well that the school invited him back to DJ the following year's homecoming dance. These shows built his early live experience and rooted him in the Treasure Valley scene.
Music Style
His productions feature melodic EDM synth leads, festival-style drops, progressive build-ups, and uplifting, emotional melodies. He moves freely across sub-genres — progressive house, bass house, techno, dubstep, tech-house, trance, and big room.
The aim is to bring the “golden era” of EDM back through melody while folding in a new-school sound for a new generation. He believes electronic music can connect people across cultures, and calls watching a crowd react one of the most rewarding parts of the work.
Career Goals
As an emerging artist, Dom's ambitions are clear: perform at international festivals like Ultra, EDC, Tomorrowland and Untold, tour clubs around the world, expand his catalog, and collaborate with producers big and small.
The long-term vision — become a globally recognized EDM performer while continuing to grow his sound and artistic identity.
